Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information 21.fun ("we", "us", or "our") collects when you visit our website (the "Site"), how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to this policy.

Who we are

21.fun is an independent news publication. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact us at hello@21.fun.

Information we collect

We keep data collection to a minimum. We collect:

  • Newsletter details. If you subscribe, we store the email address you provide, the form or page you subscribed from, and the date of your request, so we can send you the newsletter.
  • Messages you send us. If you email us (for example, at hello@21.fun), we receive your email address and whatever information you choose to include.
  • Technical and usage data. As with most websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically records standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device, referring page, and the pages you view, so we can deliver, secure, and maintain the Site.

You do not need an account to read the Site, and we do not ask for sensitive personal information.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent your personal information.
  • We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.
  • We do not knowingly collect information from children (see below).

How we use your information

We use the information above to:

  • send the newsletter you requested and manage your subscription;
  • respond to your messages and requests;
  • operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and prevent abuse;
  • comply with our legal obligations.

Where the law requires a legal basis (for example, under the GDPR), we rely on your consent for the newsletter (which you can withdraw at any time) and on our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Site.

Cookies and local storage

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. We use only what is necessary for the Site to work:

  • Essential cookies are used for signed-in administrators and for security; they are not used to track ordinary visitors.
  • Local storage in your browser remembers preferences such as your light or dark theme. This stays on your device and is not sent to us.

You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings; the Site will still work, though some preferences may not be remembered.

Advertising and affiliate links

The Site shows advertisements and may include affiliate links to third parties (such as gaming, crypto, or betting brands). These ads are served by us directly rather than through third-party ad networks, so we do not place tracking cookies on your device through them. When you click an ad or external link and leave 21.fun, the destination is operated by a third party and governed by its own privacy policy and terms, which we do not control.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to run the Site, including hosting and content delivery (Vercel) and our database and backend (Supabase), as well as providers that help us deliver the newsletter. These providers process data only on our behalf and under their own security and privacy safeguards. Some of them may process or store data outside your country.

International transfers

Because our providers operate globally, your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Data retention

We keep your newsletter email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Messages you send us are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for our records. Technical logs are retained by our providers for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, in the EEA, the UK, or California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can:

  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email; and
  • Contact us at hello@21.fun to make any other request.

We will respond to valid requests as required by applicable law. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
